Delete your account and your data — Plume
Last updated: 1 October 2026 — Version 2.1
Application concerned: Plume (com.plume.plume), published by SASU RedLine Music, Abbaye 208-1, 208 Résidence Lavoisier, 18100 Vierzon, France — published on Google Play under the name openfunworld.
Two ways to delete your account
1. From the application (the fastest)
Settings → Privacy → Delete my data
The deletion is carried out immediately. It is not placed in a queue and does not wait for any deferred processing: when the application confirms the deletion to you, it has already taken place and has been verified by the server.
2. Without installing the application
If you have already uninstalled Plume, or if you no longer have access to your phone, write to:
sogacmoi7@gmail.com
- Subject: Plume account deletion
- State the e-mail address of your Plume account (the one used to sign up, or your Google address if you signed in with Google).
We check that the request does indeed come from the account holder, then we proceed with the deletion. We handle these requests within a maximum of 30 days, and generally within a few days. You receive a confirmation by e-mail once the deletion has been carried out.
What is deleted
The deletion permanently erases:
- your account (e-mail address, password, session);
- your usage counters — the number of rewrites used per day and per month;
- your suggestions — the proposals you may have sent us from the application;
- your request identifiers — the technical references of the rewrites requested;
- your credits and quota unlocks — purchased credits not yet used, unlocks obtained through advertising, adjusted caps;
- the link between your devices and your account — your other phones or tablets are unlinked and become ordinary anonymous devices again;
- your custom personas, including those moved to the trash — their name, their instructions, their avatar, the thumbnails of the images you imported (persona avatars and language emblems) and your sharing tokens;
- your camouflage lexicons, including those moved to the trash — their name, their theme, their word pairs, the pending words, your sharing tokens, and the links in both directions (the lexicons you shared, and those that were shared with you);
- the custom languages you created — their name, their alphabet, their lexicon, the pending words, your sharing tokens and your import history. What this deletion cannot do: if someone else has already imported a copy of your language, that copy now belongs to them and survives your deletion — like a message already received by a third party, we cannot erase it on their end.
The device from which you request the deletion is neutralised: its link to your account is erased, its identification key is destroyed and replaced by a dead value, and its language and application version are erased. All that remains is an opaque number, which no longer makes it possible to identify you or to find the device.
We do not store the texts you rewrote, nor the text read from the screen by Assisted Reading: they are not kept anywhere on our servers, so there is nothing to delete. This is not true of your custom languages and your camouflage lexicons: their content (name, alphabet or theme, words and definitions), as well as the individual words of your messages that were still missing from them, are indeed stored on our servers — deleting your account erases them, like everything else that belongs to you (see above).
On your phone, your settings and your per-application rules are stored locally. They are erased by the deletion carried out from the application, and in any event they disappear when you uninstall Plume.
What is kept, and why
Three categories of records remain, but the link with your identity is severed: your account identifier and your device identifier are removed from them. These records no longer make it possible to trace you.
| What remains | Why we cannot destroy it |
|---|---|
| Your purchase history (Google Play transaction identifier, amount, dates, subscription status) | Accounting obligation: proof of payment cannot be destroyed. It is kept detached from your identity. |
| Entitlements acquired by purchase (subscription, packs) | Same accounting reason, and proof of payment in the event of a dispute. Kept without any user identifier. |
| Advertising rewards and credits already granted | Prevents the same ad or the same purchase from being cashed in twice. Only the unique reference of the transaction is kept, without any device identifier. |
| Technical security signals (repeated overruns, integrity check failures) | Fraud prevention. These records contain no text and are kept without any device identifier. |
This anonymised data is kept for as long as our legal obligations require, in particular our accounting obligations, and is then deleted or aggregated.
Three other items are not erased by deleting your account, because they are not linked to you, or no longer only to you:
- uncamouflaged fragments — in Camouflage mode without a lexicon, short pieces of message (40 characters at most) that stayed readable after camouflaging: they carry no account identifier, only a pseudonymous fingerprint of the device;
- word definitions — a cache shared by all users, with no account or language identifier;
- the words you wrote with someone else’s camouflage lexicon — they were set aside in their lexicon, which belongs to them, and follow its fate.
What deletion does not do
It does not cancel your subscription. A subscription is managed by Google Play, not by us: deleting your Plume account does not stop it and you would continue to be charged.
Cancel your subscription first, then delete your account: Play Store → Menu → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Plume → Cancel subscription.
It does not erase the data held by Google (purchases, advertising, the phone’s speech recognition). That data belongs to your Google account and is managed from your Google account settings.
After deletion
The deletion is final and irreversible. We cannot restore a deleted account, nor your personas, nor the purchases attached to that account.
You can create an account again later with the same e-mail address: it will be a completely new account, with no history. Your previous purchases, having been detached from any identity, cannot be restored to that new account. If you want to keep an ongoing subscription, do not delete your account.
