Your messages say something else

What you write is replaced by an innocuous sentence. Your contact, if they have Plume, recovers the real message.

A secret code, just for the two of you

Every word you write is replaced by a real word from a theme you choose. Decoding retrieves your exact sentence, word for word — never an approximation.

It's a writing game, not a vault. Your text passes through our servers to be camouflaged, and any Plume user can decode it. Don't trust it with anything you wouldn't put on a postcard.

Definition

Written in your app's language. Some words have no equivalent: only a definition carries their meaning.

You choose where your text is processed

Permissions, and what Plume does not do

Plume uses the Android accessibility service to read and replace the text in the field you are writing in, when you tap the capsule, and only in the apps you linked yourself. It sends nothing in the background, and it never sends a message for you.

Free, subscription optional

Plume is free to use, with a number of rewrites per day; a rewarded ad unlocks more whenever you decide, never forced on you. The subscription raises the caps, opens the whole catalogue and removes the ads.
